IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID-19
Please read the following information carefully:
Leicester Art Zone (LAZ) wants to assure all participants that we will be strictly following the UK Government Guidance in regard to Covid-19. We aim to provide you with a safe environment to undertake your art training. We are sure you will appreciate that in order to achieve this, there will be regulations in place within the premises to protect all students and staffs.
In line with the Covid-19 Government Guidance, we need to draw your attention to several important points:
The art class will have a strict 2 metres social distancing rule throughout the class premises. The UK Government had relaxed the 2 metres rule to a 1 metre rule, in circumstances where it is impossible to maintain a 2 metre distance. We will be seeking to maintain the 2 metre rule wherever possible.
There will be a one-way system which we would ask you to observe at all times.
Students will be asked to sanitise their hands before entering the class.
Students will be encouraged to wash their hands frequently during their time at the art class.
In order to minimise risks, the class will not have set breaks. However, you will be given the opportunity to take a short break to have a drink and eat. These will not be at specific times but will be individual and arranged by the Instructor in the class.
You will be required to wear a face-mask during your time in the class. We will provide you with a facemask; however, you may bring your own with you if you wish. If you are unable to wear a face-mask on health grounds would you please contact us to inform us BEFORE attending. You may be aware that schools are not asking pupils to wear face-masks, however, these pupils will remain in the same year group throughout the school term; at our centres the groups change every week, and therefore this is not the same situation as schools, and for this reason we are asking all our members to wear a face-mask. Gloves need to be worn at all times. We will supply you with gloves.
All staff will wear face visors and gloves.
We ask that you observe the social distancing rules at all times in order to protect your safety and the safety of the staff. Any member found not to be observing social distancing may be asked to leave the centre.
If you have a condition which comes under the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable group, we recommend that you consider whether or not it is best to attend classes at this time. We advise that you do not attend at this time.
If you live in an area that becomes subjected to a local lockdown before you are due to attend please contact us BEFORE attending.
If the area in which the centre is located becomes subjected to a local lockdown we will contact you cancellation of classes.
12. When attending the centre you will be asked to confirm that you have not had symptoms of Covid-19 within the last 14 days. If you have had symptoms of Covid-19 within the 14 days you must NOT attend the centre. If you attend, and have displayed symptoms of Covid-19 within the last 14 days, you could put the lives of other members at risk.
13. If you or other members of Leicester Art Zone display symptoms of Covid-19 while you are attending, the entire group will be asked to leave the centre and self-isolate for 14 days.
In order to operate safely it is imperative that we carefully follow the Government Guidelines. We realise that some areas above may cause inconvenience, but we must all do everything possible to ensure that we reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19 by following the guidance issued by the UK Government.
The Government Guidance is updated frequently; if you feel that you do not wish to attend the class at this time, you can wait until when the Government relaxes the guidelines further.
